Family Communication Plan
Families may be separated when an emergency happens. A simple communication plan gives everyone the same contacts, meeting points, and backup methods.
What to organize
- Choose primary and backup family contacts, including an appropriate out-of-area contact.
- Agree on familiar meeting locations for different situations.
- Record multiple ways to communicate if normal calling or internet access is disrupted.
- Make sure household members can access the plan and review or practice it periodically.
