Is ancestry search included free?

Yes. Every account, including Free, includes LegacyReady’s ancestry search: Library of Congress historical-record search with saved citations and a guided BLM land-record worksheet, alongside the Family History Center.

A deeper, member-authorized ancestry search is in testing and is not active. No plan sells or includes ancestry records or data.

How much does LegacyReady Family cost?

You can start with a free private account, including ancestry search — no credit card required.

Optional one-time upgrades:

  • Plus — $79 one time for a printable family-readiness packet and expanded organizers
  • Trust — $149 one time for everything in Plus plus expanded trust-preparation templates

There is no subscription. You upgrade only when you want the printable packet or trust worksheets.

What’s the difference between Free, Plus, and Trust?

  • Free gives you ancestry search, a private Family History Center (up to 3 relatives) with timeline and research workspace, plus final wishes, beneficiaries, and basic insurance notes — save and return anytime.
  • Plus keeps ancestry search, raises the Family History Center to 10 relatives, and unlocks the printable family-readiness packet: beneficiary and funeral organizers, life-insurance organizer, will-preparation template, health-care wishes worksheet, emergency document locator, and PDF packet.
  • Trust includes everything in Plus, plus revocable-trust preparation, asset/property schedule, successor-trustee worksheet, trust-funding checklist, and attorney handoff questions.

Is this a subscription?

No. Free stays free. Plus and Trust are one-time payments processed by Stripe.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. Create a free account with no credit card. You only pay if you choose Plus or Trust.

What happens after I pay?

Stripe processes the payment. Use the same email on checkout that you use for your LegacyReady account so your purchase can be matched and the Plus or Trust worksheets unlock in your workspace.

If access doesn’t appear within a short time, email sunmarketingllc@gmail.com with the email you used at checkout.

Can I start free and upgrade later?

Yes. That’s the recommended path: organize the essentials free, then upgrade when you want printable Plus or Trust templates.

Is LegacyReady Family a legal service?

No. LegacyReady Family and Sun Marketing, LLC are not a law firm and do not provide legal, tax, financial, funeral-directing, or insurance advice. The site provides educational preparation tools that families can review with appropriately licensed professionals.
