Information we collect

We may collect account information such as your name and email address; information you choose to save in family-preparedness, document, and heritage tools; beneficiary or relative details you enter; purchase confirmation and plan-access information; optional email-marketing consent; support messages; and limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service.

Information you choose to add

Planning and family-history information can be sensitive. Add only information you are authorized to provide. Do not enter Social Security numbers, passwords, complete payment-card numbers, bank access codes, or other secrets the planner does not request.

Ancestry search connection (coming soon)

LegacyReady's deeper ancestry search connects to a third-party ancestry data provider. The connection is not active today. If it becomes available, the following rules apply to any information LegacyReady receives through it ("ancestry search information"). This section was added October 19, 2026, and updated October 21, 2026.

• You connect your own account. The connection is optional. You sign in with your own account on the provider's own secure sign-in page. LegacyReady never asks for or stores that username or password.
• Only with your action. The connection only reads information you are authorized to see, and LegacyReady will not add to or change an online family tree on your behalf without your action.
• Only you see it. Ancestry search information is shown only to the signed-in LegacyReady member who authorized the connection, and only in the Family History Center.
• Kept separate from planning tools. Ancestry search information is never passed to, stored with, or combined with Family Readiness tools such as final-arrangement, beneficiary, insurance, document-location, will, or trust organizers, and it is never used for professional introductions or referrals.
• Never sold or used for marketing. We do not sell, rent, or share ancestry search information, and we do not use it for advertising, marketing, lead generation, or profiling.
• No database or resale. Ancestry search information is never offered as a searchable database, never made available to other members, and never part of any paid plan. Paid LegacyReady plans cover LegacyReady's own features only.
• Not sent to AI. Ancestry search information is never sent to artificial-intelligence tools or used to train them.
• No record-image redistribution. LegacyReady does not copy, publish, or redistribute the provider's historical record images or indexes. Record links open on the provider's own site.
• Limited storage. The access token is kept in an encrypted, secure, HTTP-only browser cookie for your session. Ancestry search information is used to display your view and is not kept longer than needed for that purpose and the provider's terms.
• Disconnect and delete. You can disconnect at any time from the ancestry search connection page in your Family History Center, which removes the connection from your browser. You may also ask us to delete any ancestry-search-related information by emailing sunmarketingllc@gmail.com.
• Provider terms. Your use of the ancestry data provider's own service is also governed by its own terms and privacy notice, which you will see when you sign in there.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, provide and save planning tools, display or generate user-requested documents, match eligible purchases to accounts, support users, improve the service, prevent misuse, and send marketing email only when a user has chosen to receive it.

Service providers

We use service providers that help operate the platform, including Vercel for hosting, Supabase for account and database services, Stripe for payments, and Resend for email delivery. These providers process information for the services they perform. Payment-card information is handled by Stripe and is not stored by LegacyReady Family.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell personal information. You decide when to print, download, or share information with family members or professionals. Creating an account does not authorize automatic calls from attorneys, insurers, funeral homes, or other professionals. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Your choices

You may decline optional marketing consent or unsubscribe from marketing email. You may request access, correction, or deletion of account information by emailing sunmarketingllc@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity. Some information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, legal, accounting, or transaction-record purposes.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards and established service providers. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legitimate legal and operational requirements. See the Security page for practical account-safety guidance.

Children

LegacyReady Family is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service develops. The effective date above identifies the current version.
